Bonjour :) How is everyone today? The weather is getting cooler again, but my spirits are high that it will warm up soon! A lot has happened in the past few weeks and I'm very excited to share with you all! In the bottom of this entry, I will include some reminders (about donating, fundraising, etc.)!
These past few weeks have been packed with activity... between soccer, People to People, schools, and friends and family, I am always on my feet! I love how busy I've been. Although, it is nice to relax once I'm in bed and read a book and/or think of how in a few months, my dreams will become reality! I have so many to thank for my dreams coming true, and I couldn't be any more appreciative and happy!
I have a few REMINDERS :
Thank you all for your time! Our next meeting is April 19th, but I hope to be on in the next week! Have a great day and look forward to the warm weather. I'll be back soon! Thank you.

- In the past month, I've been sending out letter asking for financial sponsorship from local businesses (in both Traverse City and the White Lake/Muskegon area), and I have received letter and donations! I am very thankful for those who have helped me, and I have the businesses who've donated in my "special thanks" page!
- I was interviewed for my local newspaper, The Beacon, about my upcoming Europe trip. You can read the article at : http://www.shorelinemedia.net/article_0fbfd7be-d165-11e4-8963-6b1cabd16073.html . The only mistake they made was my departure date and how many other delegates I will be traveling with. I will be leaving July 7th and returning July 25th. And I will be traveling with roughly 39 other delegates (student ambassadors). They wrote the article really well and I'm very glad that I can share my excitement with our community! Thank you to all who have read my article and whom found interest.
- We had another People to People meeting this past Sunday! It was very fun. Our group got to spend time together and we connected quite a lot :) We talked more about our home stay for our trip and what we should expect :) Our leader, Mr. Taylor, told us that every home stay experience is different, and that the home stay is usually students favorite part of the trip - so I am really looking forward to that! We also spoke about what sort of clothing and items we should pack, so we could start to prepare and purchase the things we may need. We shared a lot of laughs and stories... I am so excited to spend three weeks with these awesome people!
- This Sunday I will be presenting a Google Slide about my trip at Lebanon Lutheran, in Whitehall. I am very fortunate to have Thrivent Financial sponsor my presentation, as well as them donating me a grant of $750! I am very thankful for this great opportunity!

I have a few REMINDERS :
- If you'd like to donate to me online through People to People or write a check with People to People as the recipient... you only have until MAY 1ST (April 25th if its a check and sent by mail to People to People)! All donations made after May 1st (or April 25th) can be made out in my name or my Dad's name (Jon Honore). People to People stops collecting donations for trips past the date of May 1st! Thank you!
- I will be having a garage sale in the middle of May! If you have any items that you'd like to get rid of, please contact me! I can pick items up from your house or they can be dropped off at my home ☺. Items I'm collecting include : clothing of all gender/size/condition, CDs/DVDs, electronics, furniture, bedding, accessories, toys, kitchen appliances/tools, working tools, baby/children items, sporting items, (anythings really). If you have anything that you'd like to get rid of, please don't throw it away - please donate it to me!
- Also, I am available for any outside clean up! Its Spring - the dead grass, leaves, branches, and dead plants can be difficult to deal with. I am more than willing to do any odds and end jobs! I also babysit (I am certified and have experience), I can clean, do outdoor work, etc.)
Thank you all for your time! Our next meeting is April 19th, but I hope to be on in the next week! Have a great day and look forward to the warm weather. I'll be back soon! Thank you.
